ADDITIONS TO MIDLAND HOTEL
The tender of Messrs. Fraser and Burch, Ltd., has been accepted by Messrs. Swan, Lawrence, and Swan, architects, on behalf of Mr. Joseph Dwyer, for additions to the Midland Hotel. The additions comprise the enlargement of the kitchen, the extension of the dining-room, the formation of pantries, the erection of a new lounge on the first floor, together with an extra floor above the new lounge to contain bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. The work is to be carried out in reinforced concrete, at a cost of between £6000 and £7000. The accepted tender is within £16 of the architects' estimate.
