ASHBURTON, 14th April. A horse corralled, in a. yard neat Staveley' was attacked yesterday by deer, which injured the hqrse's ey» andlacerated its flank. The deer disappeared into the bush. On one occasion- a/mob of over 2CO deer was seen at St&veltey.
