PROFESSIONALS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (BY TELBORAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) . NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. The professional golf tournament opened this morning in dull weather. The course and greens are in excellent order. Ham (scr) and Shaw (2) led off, followed by Hood (2V and Blair (4), Butters (scr) and Brooks (scr), Greig (6)' and Clements (2); Moss (2), having A. Smith, captain of the local club, as partner. This morning's play is the Colonel handicap (bogey). . The game resulted as follow:—Hood 6 up, Moss 3 up, Shaw 3 up, Brooks. 2 up, Ham 2 up, Butters 1 up, Blair, Clements, and Greig all square.
