AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
SIMS TAKES MEN'S SINGLES.
(BI TBLEfiSAPH.—PSBSS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 31st January.. The finals in the Auckland tennis tournament were, played to-day in fine weather. The courts were in good order. Following are the results:— Ladies' Doubles—Misses Lance and Lloyd (New South Wales) beat Mrs. Lascelles and Miss Gray (New South Wales) 6-3, 7-5. ' Ladies' Singles—Miss Lance beat Miss Grey, 6-2, 6-4. Men's Singles—Sims (Waikato) beat Bartleet (Auckland), 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Combined Doubles — Miss Gray (N.S.W.) and Griffiths (Auckland) " beat Miss Macfarlane (Auckland) and Robson (Auckland), 0-6, 6-2, 8-6. The men's doubles have not been decided. • . 1
