OPEN-AIR CONCERT.

The Artillery Band, which intends competing at the New Plymouth Band Contest next month, will play at the Petone Recreation Gronnds to-morrow at 3' p.m. The programme will include the test .selections, " Roberto II Diavolo " and ■" Jessonola," also the band's own choice march for the contest, " Th» President" (Vernon), and a speciallyarranged hymn, "Lead, Kindly Light" (Dykes), for the hymn contest. This has been arranged by Lieutenant T. Herd. As the, band is now in good form, a musical treat is promised those who attend.;
