AMERICA'S POLICY
ATT&CK TO PROCEED
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTEKBT.)
(ADSMUUAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) NEW YORK;, 25th January. The "New York Times' " Washington, correspondent says: "There is complete evidence to-night that Mr. Hughes's letters concerning Mr. Boyden 'will not satisfy the Senators' criticism of President Harding's foreign, policy, and the forecasted attack will begin during .the next few days." "Senator W. E. Borah has announced that he intends to press his ..proposal for an economic conference, and that he will probably reintroduee the measures in the form of an amendment lo the Army Appropriation Bill on Monday. "It is acknowledged, how«ver, that Mr. Hughes's communications have clarified the situation considerably concerning the part the United States is playing while unofficially represented on the Reparations Commission. The charge ■ of secrecy has been dispelled, but dissatisfaction with the policy is as strong as ever." ■
