LAWN TENNIS
SCHOOLS' ASSOCIATION
THE COMING TOURNAMENT.
Delegates from 19 schools were present at the annual meeting of the Wellington Provincial Schools' Lawn Tennis Association, held in the Education Board's offices. Strong comment was made in the annual report on the fact that although the Wellington Schools' Association conducted a bigger tourney than the rest of the New Zaland junior associations put 'together, the Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association did practically nothing for the schools, and had not placed a junior event in its annual programme. The year's operations resulted in a loss of over £5, due entirely to the fact that' extra and heavy expenditure was incurred for balls and refreshments on account of wet weather during the last tournament. , Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:•—Patron, ' Mr. T. Forsyth; president, Mr. J. Thwaites; management committee, Misses Hayes, Messenger, Sparrow, Webb, E. Williams, E. Woodward, and Messrs. W. Brown, W. Dudson, A. East, E. Fossette, J. Fanning, E.
