CUNARD ENTERPRISE.
Within a week, the Cunard Ste-arri Ship Company have , reinforced. their. Atlantic fleofa by two hew vessels,, the'Laconia andl the Andania (Syren and Shipping of 7th June). -The last-named ship is a. splendid oil-burning, double reduction/ geared turbine steamer of 14,000 tons, .built by Mejsrs. R. and W. HaVthorn, Leslie, and Co.l She inaugurates-'the resumption of the company's service between Southampton, Quebec, and Montreal. >Both out and home a call will- be made at Cherbourg,- while on the. homeward 7 run the ship will land passengers at Plymouth. During the month, her sister vessel, the Antonia, now completing, will be placed oh this service. The Andania carries two olasses of. passengers—soo cabin and 1200 third-class.. The dining saloon and1 smoking-room are treated in the Colonial Adams manner) while in other pub*lic apartment the style of the Brothers Adam has been, followed with .extremely tasteful effect,/.especially in the case of the lounge, which, will compare very favourably with similar rooms on larger vessels. There is also a. verandah cafe and a delightful children's room, admirably designed ancf well equipped with games, toys, etc. Tha state-rooms are large and comfortable, and special attention has been devoted to' the kitchens, while the third-class acoommodation niai-ks a distinct step forivard. - The Andania, which is now on hor maiden. voyage, will certainly prove herself one of the most popular vessels in the Canadian-trade. ; ' . .;. ■■■, -'..
