RE SHORTAGE OF MEASURE IN MILK BOTTLES, CONCERNING the Shortage of Measure in iho Milk Bottles, Householders aro hereby notified as followE:— 1. That tho small and medium milk bottles issued as containing; ono pint and a pint and a-half have been found to bo on the avorapo 2.6 per cent, and 2.3 per cent, respectively short in measure, and therefore not represented as containing the quantity shown on the milk coupons that have been distributed. 2. That tho milk coupons marked 1 pint, li pint, and 1 quart respectively are to entitle householders to receive in oschange therefor relatively small, medium, and large-sized bottles of milk. 3. That for the smal! and medium siscs tho shortage isjto be adjusted on the last doy of each calendar month, commencing on the 31st instant, by Iho Department supplying each regular customer with a bottle or bottles of the aforementioned sizes equivalent, to tho regular daily supply of such bottles, thereby making good the accumulated shortago for the current month. Householders are requested to note that the 1 quart bottles are of the required standard in measure, and accordingly no adjustment is necessary for this size of bottle. R. E.
