BOTH WAITING

.TRAMWAY DISPUTE

NO FURTHER MOVE YET.

The Tramwaymen's Union has not yet given the City Council notice of its intention to strike in accordance with tne recent ballot, nor has it been summoned to attend a Conciliation Council. It ia believed that the Conciliation Council will meet next week. At any rate, the legal point as 'to whether the council may proceed under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act has not yet been definitely settled, and more will probably bo said about it: The Mayor (Mr. R. A.' Wright) stated to-day that thore had' been no further developments concerning the dispute. The tramwaymen's secretary (slr. A. L. Monteith) stated that the union was playing the same game as the Mayor—" watchful waiting."
