THE HAGDE, 12th July.
It is officially stated that it is no use continuing the Conference with the Russians on tie basis laid down by Litvinoff. to-day.
With Sir P. Lloyd- Graeme's announcement that no useful purpose will be served by continning the negotiations with the Russians, tha Conference has l'eachad a deadlock. It was impossible to carry on the discussion, as the Rossians^ in replying to all questions regarding restitution or compensation for owners of private property, said: "Give ue credits first bo restore Russia-." When Sir P. Graeme told the committee that he wouW consult his colleagues to see ■whether it was worth while continuing the Conference, Litvinoff replied: "The responsibility for breaking up the Conference does not rest with us."
