AUCKLAND, lOfih July. Mr. John Farrell, architect to the Auckland Education Board, has announced his intention to contest thra Auckland West seat as the official Reform candidate. He intends to resign from the board's service.

. CARTERTON, This Day. At a representative meeting of delegates of all parts of the Wairarapa held at Carterton last night Mr. J. W. Card, Mayor of Feathereton, was unanimously selected as the Liberal-Labour candidate for the Wairarapa seat at the coming General Election.
