ALARM IN PARIS
REACTION ON THE FRANC.
LONDON, 9fch July. The Paris oorpeßpondent of the Daily News states that there is grave concern regarding Germany's financial situation and its effect on the franc, the recent •depreciation of which has added • 9000 million francs to the national debt. It is further realised that not only are Garmany' s cash, payments involved unless something is done to remedy the German currency, but reparations in kind ■n-ill soon be* as uncertain as those in cash. Berlin's declaration that it is impossible to continue monthly deliveries of coal to the Allies is regarded as significant in that direction.
