PETONE CONVENT
The following pupils of the Convent School, Pefcone, have again been successful in the essay competitions at the recent South Taranaki Winter Show, having—won the challenge shield for most points in the essay sections, and a number of prizes : —Standard II : ("Animals") Mary Borlace. / Standard 111. : ("Animate") Amy Lazarus Vnd Nellie Sullivan. Standard V., boys.: ("Great Explorers") Gordon Rounds. Standard V., girls ("Sympathy") Eileen Ryder. Lucy M'Laucblan, Connie M'Gurk. Standard VI., boys: (Travelling in Olden, Days and To-day") Tom Culshaw. Standard VI., girls : ("The. Life of a Nurse") Moreen Higgins, Mona Young, and Gladys M'Gurk. Standard VII., girls : ("The Power of a Word") Kathleen Anderson.
