TEACHERS' SALARIES
THE PROPOSED CUT.
A second cut having been made in the bonus of tho Civil Sei-vice, the Minister of Education is now required by the Minister of Finance, under the Public Expenditure Adjustment Act, to make a reduction in the salaries of teachers. A draft scheme for tho various branches has been prepared by.the Minister, who now proposes, as he did on the previous occasion, to consult with representatives of the primary, secondary,, and .technical school teachers as to the fairest method of applying the cut suggested ill the draft..
