LONDON, 9th July. The Daily Express reports that at'the conclusion of her game against Mrs. Mallory, at Wimbledon, Mile. Lenglen waved her racquet and triumphantly said, "Now. Mrs. Mallory, I have proved to you to-day what I could have done in New York last year.' 5 Mrs. Mallory replied coldly, "You'have done to me today what, I did to you in New York last year. You have beaten me." Mrs. MnJiory later stated in an interview that | she was , anxious to meet Mile, trfuiljies Hjruui' us enijly as possible, and .■whenever she was ready.
