The following are thf, results of the Rugby games played here yesterday:— Grammar School Old Boys beat 'Grafton 'by 13 points to 6, Colleg: Rifle's beat Ponsonby by 10 to 6, University beat Sden by 42 to nil, North' Shore beat Newton by 11 to 6. ■ ■ In a secondary schools' contest, Grammar School defeated King's College by 17 points to 3.
CHRISTCHURCH, Bth July. Tho Rugby football games resulted as follow:—
Marist (15) beat Linwood (8). Over 8000 people witnessed, the match, and Marist1 s win practically gives them Uie championship. 'Varsity (17) beat Syden-ham-Lyttelton (12J, Merivale (12) "beat Old Boys (nil), Christchu'reh (12) beat Albion (3). ■
DUNEDIN, 9th July. Saturday's results are :— University A (16) beat TCaikorai (8), Alhambr? (20) beat Southern (nil), Pirates (11) beat Taieri Rovers (3), Dunefliti (11) beat University B (3), Port Chalmers (12) beat Union (nil).
'i'lio position of the teams for the flug competition' is as under;— University A
16, Pirates 16, Kaikorai 14, Zingari 14, University B 8, Southern 8, Alhambra 8, Dunedin 6, Taieri Rovers 4, Port Chalmers 2, Union 0. University A have yet to play University B, and should they be successful the team will lead by two points. MASTERTON, 9th July. The following are the results of the junior'games played yesterday:—Master- ' ton 15, Red Star 4; Opaki 17, Taueru 3; "Carterton 9, Pioneer 8; Greytown 18, Dalefleld 9.
