A LEGAL DIFFICULTY
A legal point of Borne importance has arisen in connection with the . Tramway dispute. The .. council has cited the Union under the Conciliation and Arbitration Act, and the union had already acted under the Industrial Disputes Act. It is understood that two prominent legal authorities, from whom advice has been obtained, differ as to whether tho council can proceed along the course decided upon. If not, the council will be unable to continue Conciliation Council and Arbitration Court proceedings.
