W. ROWLEY, Registrar. THANKS. COUNCILLOR NORWOOD has issued tho fiat for the execution of the Milk Vend of Wellington. His disapproval / has fallen for the most part upon the No. 1 MUNICIPAL MILK DISTRIBUTING CO., LTD. In striking contrast with;this the Public have shown the utmost favour. J Since Councillor Norwood expressed dis- ■ approval of our method of winding-up our affairs the publio have come forward as one, offering settlement IN ADVANCE., Some resentment was shown, including the extreme case of Dr. Gibb, whose letter to hand concludes with the words, "Henry Bodley, the wind-bag of Wellington," but the number of these is quite negligible, and, in spite"of the drastic option offered us, we have been placed in a position by the generality of our patrons TO THANK THEM GENEROUSLY, AS THEY HAVE BEEN GENEROUS TO US'. We desire, als», to publicly thank our staff, and we take the liberty of doing so, on behalf of the publio. Their duties called for greater ability than ordinary clerking, and included the use of the most up-to-date office appliances, and as between the interests of the publio and the shareholders, these young ladies carried on the arduous task unflinchingly as, to zeal and impartiality. We go out, and our felicitations will have to be our only satisfaction. We hope CounoillOr Norwood will have reason to feel the same satisfaction when his turn comes. • ■ THE No. 1 MUNICIPAL MILK DISTRIBUTING CO., LTD., -.
