An exceedingly useful donation to the Mayor's fund for the unemployed was received to-day from Messrs. Baldwin and Co., of Old Customhouse-street, in the^ shape of a ton of potatoes, to bo delivered on Monday. The Mayor expressed warm appreciation in accopting the generous offer. .The receipt also is acknowledged from "Householder" of £1 and £1 5s from A.B. for tho fund.
