WATERSIDE WORKERS' BAND.
To-morrow evening at the Grand Opera House the Waterside Workers' Band will give its seventh recital. The Sunday entertainments of such a high standard as that set by this band havo been very successful in Wellington, and there should be another record house on this occasion. The management has been successful in inducing several of the leading artists from the "Maid of the Mountains" Royal Comic Opera Company to appear at this recital, including Miss Olive Seddon, contralto, who will sing "My Dear Soul." Mr. Robert Chisholm; baritone, will be heard in songs from his extensive repertoire, Mr. Harry Ratcliffe, basso, will sing "Thou Art Passing Hence," and Mr. .Wilfred Sinclair, tenor, will sing' "Sympathy."• Mr. Frank Crowther will be at'the piano. The band items have been carefully selected, and include the overture "1911," conceived upon the lines of the famous "1812 Overture," also "William Tell," the test piece for ,the Ballarat contest to be held in October. The patrol, "Guardians of Peace,' by Mr. Frank Crowther, ano the march, "Washington Greys," will complete the programme.
