Two first-offending inebriates were leniently dealt with by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.MI, .who presided at to-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court,
, James F. Scott and Thomas Blak.o, who had one and two previous convictions against them respectively, were fined 10s, in default 48 hours in gaol, and £1 or three:' days) imprisonment. At a sitting of the Mount Cook Police Court, before Mr. W. H. Coy, J.P., this morning, Walter George^Cm-tis was convicted oh a charge of helpless drunkenness, and ordered to nay medical expenses .
