PULVERISED FUEL
i The experiments which the E.ailway Department has been carrying on for a considerable- period in connection with the burning of pulverised coal on the railways have now reached a stage Where it is possible for practical tests to be made in an engine specially converted to burn that fuel. It is understood that a quite successful .trial run was made from Otaki to Auckland yesterday with a locomotive burning ' powdered coal. 1+ is the intention of the Department tc carry out further experimental tests.
