BEQUEST FOR COLLEGE' PRIZES

Advice was received by the "Board of College Governors this morning that, under the, will of the late Mrs. Helen Hales, of Oriental Bay, the sum of £100 had been given to the Public Trustee for investment, the income therefrom to bo made payable to the Governors of tho Wellington College for the purpose of providing five prizes to bo coupled with tho names of her sons. The prizes were to be devoted to the encouraging of sports, elocution, and music. '■ .

The Governors expressed appreciation for the gifts, and placed on record the interest taken, in the college by the late Mrs. Hales and her family.
