ANNUAL MEETING OF NEW .. ZEALAND ACADEMY.
The annual meeting of ■ members of tho New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts was held in the Art Gallery, Whitmorestreet, last evening.' Mr. T. Shailer Weston • presided.
In moving the adoption of the report (extracts from which have already been published), the Chairman said the society had made considerable progress during the year, and tfte various exhibitions had been very successful. ' He expressed the hope that subscriptions would be forthcoming, in order that the collection might be made worthy of the Empire City.
The report was adopted without discussion. / " < ';.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. T. Shailer Weston,; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Ellis and E. W. Hunt; council, Miss D. K. Richmond, Messrs. W, Welch, C. Wilson, W. Gray Young, and J, F, Mannings; treasurer, Mr. H. E. Anderson; auditor, Mr. CD. Morpeth.\
