CRICKET
MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Management Com■mittee of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last night, there being present: Messrs. C. G. Wilson (chairman), H. J. Buck, M. J. Crombie, W. G. Hughes, C. E. Edmonds, and Roy S. Johnston (hon. secretary).
A draft report of the season's workings was submitted and approved. The Wellington Centre New Zealand 'Amateur Swimming Association wrote requesting that next season's fixtures be so arranged as not to clash with ,the New Zealand Swimming championships, and it was decided to do everything possible by way of assisting.
The secretary was directed to ask the New Zealand Cricket Council whether any action was being taken to invite an Australian team to New Zealand, and if not to recommend that the North v. South Island match be played at Wellington. .
Messrs. Vine and Wilson, auctioneers, will sell furniture at 2 p.m. to-morrow in their rooms. On Saturday they will soil household furniture at Rona, Bay.
Messrs; C. W. Price and 00. will sell furniture and motorcycle in their rooms to-morrow at 1.30 p.m.
Tho Dux Auctioneering 00. advertise a s»lo,of carpets, etc, to-morrow, at 2 p.m.
