BOXING

HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION.

Boxing enthusiasts of Petono met this week to consider the question of forming an association in Petone. Tho chairman (Mr. W. G. Lodderj' expressed the hope that if an association wero formed it would be able to aspire to something worthy of tho. district.

It was decided that those present form themselves into an association, to bo known as the Hutt Valley Boxing Association. Officers wero elected as follow: — Patron, Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.; presidentj Mr. W. G. Loddor; hon. secretary, Mr. Leech; .hon. treasurer, Mr. A. C. Wright; committee- (with power to add), Messrs. G. J. Walsh, R. H. Pickorjng, F. Dolling, W. S. Brice, 1). M. Armslrong, W. Hay, E. Price, W. Longman; hon. auditor, Mr. AY. F. Sturman; timekeepers, Messrs. T. and J. Blyth. The matter of the election of vice-presidents was left in tho hands of the president and a subcommittee.

It was decided . thai . tho membership should not exceed 100.

The framing of the necessary rules was left to the committee.

Messrs. E. Johnston and Co. will sell household furniture in their mart to-mor-row at 1.30, and on Saturday household furnishings at 8, Apu-crescent, Lyall Bay. On Monday, at 1.30, they will offer carpets in their mart, and at tho same hour household furniture at Queens-road, lower Hutt.

Messrs. Wheatley and Co. will cell poultry, cart, harness, and furniture to-morrow, jn their aunt, at 1.30.
