; ' WANGANUI, 24th August. The representative Rugby game, Wellington and Wanganui, was played today irt fine weather and before a large attendance. Play in the early stages was even, but the visitors soon got the upper hand through good passing by their backs. At half-time Wellington led by 18 points to 8. ,
On resuming, Wanganui added a try, but from thence on Wellington had matters largely their own way, and, finally won by 37 points to 11.
Tries were scored for Wellington <by Jackson (two), Algar, King, Tunnington, Standen, and Hutchinson. King converted six and potted a goal.
" M'Cauliffe, Potaka, and Ridss scored for Wanganui, Ross converting one.
