BOYES RELIEF FUND
EVENING POST LIST.
The following subscriptions have beira received by The Post towards the Boyee Benefit Fund :—
With the object of assisting the Boyes Relief Fund 1, the Wellington Watersiders' Athletic Club gave an interesfSng gymnastic display in the Town Hall last week, before a good >udience. Three tug-of-war contests resulted as follow : Wellington Watersiders' No 1 team defeated Gas Company; Shell, Rossway, and Co. defeated Gas Company; and Watersiders' No 2 defeated Watersidiers' No. 1. Musical, elocutionary, and donaing ' items were contributed by Misses Smyth, Kiely, and Miller, Mrs. Kempton, and Messrs. Maunder, Summer*, Landsdowne, and Thomas. Braund's Orchestra was also in attendance. During the evening, the president (Mr. E. Rossitter) outlined the objects of the club. The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Duke) presented medals won by members of tho olub at various tournaments outside Wellington! The sum of £15 has been handed to the Mayor, who, on behalf of the Waterside Athletic Olub, wishes to thank Braund's Orchestra, the Bristol Piano Company, and others who assistedl to make the entertainment possible.
