A charge of selling liquor without being in possession of a license was preferred against a man named Archibald West in tlfe Magistrate's Court, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., to-day. West was remanded until Friday next. Bail was allowed in the sum of £100. Messrs. Vine and Wilson will sell furnituro and dressmakers' models in their rooms at 2 p.m. to-morrow, and on Wednesday furniture, at Clifton-terrace. Messrs. Williams and Co., Ltd., will'sell pianos and furniture at the Auction Arcade, Courtenay-place, to-morrow, at 2 p.m. Messrs. C. W. Price and Co. will sell furniture in their rooms 50, Lower Cubastreet, to-morrow, 1 at 1.30 p.m..
