PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.
America's smart set—its social life and its business _worries—form a fitting background for Robert Chambers's novel, "The Fighting Chance." The screen producers have given much thought to the film version now being shown to crowded houses nightly at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres. Tie whirl of high society, tlie aimless existence of the idle rich, and the unconventional life of one Sylvia Landis, -ire the main concomitants of an interesting story. The love Btory of Stephen Siward, whose affections are centred in the fiancee of a millionaire, is emotional and turbulent, but loyalty wins through, conquers a sinful heritage, and triumphs over a sordid business plot. Anna Nilsson, Dorothy Davenport (Mrs. Wallace Reid), and Conrad. Nagel are the principals of a- special cast. Enid Bennett and Matt Moore are co-starred in a charming domestic play. There will be a repetition this evening.
