AWARDS AND DECORATIONS

The following foreign decorations have been awarded to the members of the R.A.F. :—Tlie French Croix de Chevalier, Legion of Honour; LieutenantColonel Arthur V. Bettington, C.M.G., now Air Adviser to, the New Zealand Government. Belgian Croix de GueTre: Major K. L. Caldwell, M.C., D.F.C., 74th Squadron, Auckland; Second Lieutenant Frederick Stanley Gordon, D.F.C., 74th Squadron, Auckland ; Major Keith D. P.. Murray, M.C., 10th Squadron. French .Croix de Guerre: Major-General T. W. • Glasgow, C.8., C.M.G., D.S.O. ; Major Allan R. Green, R.A.M.C., Christchurch; C.S.S.M. W. A. P. Levick, New Zealand Railway Operating Company. Portuguese Military Order of Avis Cavaleiro: Captain M. Duß. Ferguson, R.A.M.C. Corporal Lister Briffault, of the 41st Squadron, R.A.F., who is the son of Major Briffault, R.A.M.C, Auckland, has been awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field in France. Lieutenant-Commander C. J. Keily, R.N.R., who has been in charge of the mine-sweeping operations in New Zealand, has been awarded the 0.8. E. for services from July to December, 1918. The following New Zealanders received 1 their decorations at Buckingham Palace last week: — 0.8. E.: Colonel L. M. Shera, N.Z.E., and Dr. Guy Scholefield. M.B.E. : Miss Ellen Wray, Mrs. Walker Young, Dunedin (nee Burt), Mr. ■Cccil1 Wray, and Major A. A. Corrigan.. M.C.: Lieutenant H. Highet, N.Z. Cyclists Corps. ■ D.F.C. : Captain Euan Dickson (Thames). A.F.C. : Lieutenant the' Hon. A. Boyle, R.A.P. The following bars to the Military Medal hay« been awarded:—Sergeant F. A. Sutherland (M.M.), Corporal S. C. Forrester (M.M.), and Private H. Gallagher (M.M.), all N.Z. Cyclist Battalion j Gunner A. Kay (M.M.), R.F.A. (Auckland). ,
