AN EMPLOYER'S DUTY TO HIS GIRL WORKERS.
The duty of the. employer lies not only in giving work to his employees, but also in seeing that they are properly caved for, particularly girl workers, who, in many cases, have left their homes, parents, and friends, to earn a living in the city. The Young Women's Christian Association urgently needs £16,000 to extend its activities in Wellington. The public, particularly employers, are being appealed to for the worthy object. Consider what an institution of this nature means to- the girl away from home, and your verdict will be that the Y.W.C.A. is noble in. character and work and is absolutely necessary. Show your appreciation by posting a donation to the treasurer, Mr. A. D. Bayfeild, Box 1071, Wellington, to-day. It's urgently needed.—Advt.
