"That rope road workers nineteen years and over be paid 17s 6d per day; 18 to 19 years, 14s 7d per' day; 17 to 18 years, , 12s lld per day;. 16 to 17, years, lis'3d per day; 15 to 16 years, 9s 9d per day. .. "Screen workers, 19 years and over, be paid 16s 3d per day; 18 to 19 years, 13s 9d per day; 17 to 18 years, 12s 2d per day; 16 to 17 years, 9s 5d per day; 15 to 16 years, 9s per day; 15 years, 7s 3d per day. "Tippers to be paid 16s 3d per day; lamp trimmers to be paid 16s 3d per day ; carpenters, to bs paid 18s 4d per day; blacksmiths, and tool sharpeners to. be paid 18s 4d por day; youths to be paid as per scale; yardmen and other outside workers not specified 16s 3d,per,day. "Pay to be weekly every Friday afternoon ; every -Saturday to be an idle day. : "Any worker employed oh back shift to receive 10 per cent, above schedule rates. "Hours of work in wet places shall be five hours bank to bank. Should any dispute arise as to what is a wet place, same to be settled by the manager and the check inspectors. "Company to provide suitable waterproof covering where necessary. "A plentiful supply of drinking water in each mine. ... "No trucking to be done by miners. " Christmas holidays to be from 23rd December to sth January, both days inclusive. Easter holidays to be from Good Friday to Easter Tuesday, both days inclusive. Other holidays to be as follow: —May Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Labour Day. Should any agreement holiday fall on a Sunday or pay Saturday, another day to be substituted as may be mutually arranged.. Any person employed on Sundays or agreement holidays to be paid double time. „. '."All rails to be laid by road men 5 short rails to be provided for each place. "If any employer shall employ any worker who shall not be a member of the union, and who within 14 days after his engagement shall not become a member of tho union and remain such member, the employer shall dismiss such worker from his service if requested to do so by the union. "Company to provide free light, tools, and house coal to all workers. "In the event of a fatal accident occurring in or about the mine, all members of the union shall cease \york till after the funeral. "That all workers shall be granted a fortnight's holiday in eaich. year,--same to be from 23rd December to sth January, both days, inclusive. "Thai; in the event of any man being home through any cau6e other-than his own, he be paid by the company for time lost."
