The Duke of Westminster did not defend the divorce suit. A decree nisi was granted after the petitioner's counsel had narrated the facts of an unhappy married life.

Counsels statement showed • that the estrangement dated from the death of the heir, and the parties separated in 1913. The Duchess was made an allowance of £13,000 yearly. , '
