One of the most interesting establishments in Palanerston North, particularly for motorists, and those at- all concern--ed with rubber goods, is the Haywood Vulcanising Works, established about two years in Rangitikei-streefc by Mr. L. Palmer. ' The rapid strides made since this business was first opened proves how neoessaTy such an undertaking is in a big centre like Palmetston North. Tie immense trade ■done, by Mr. Palmer justifies his enterprise from every viewpoint. . Motorists can have vulcanising and. retreading carried out by experts in all branches. The plant is certainly a most up-to-date one, and' it is worthy of mention that the system employed by Mr. Palmer in the works is the only successful system of retreading,s vulcanising, and repairing that has yet been introduced into the district. Haywood1 retreads have already madfe a name for themselves, ahd anyone interested is cordially invited to call and inspect the work in full operation, when ocular demonstration of the reliability of Mr. Palmer's work can be given. The public can rely on quick service, civility, and attention in the matter of all work entrusted to this establishment. As a further convenience to motorists Mr. Palmer stocks all leading lines in tires, tubes, etc. Bemember the shop with the free air' service and the big sign "Haywood's." Highest discounts are allowed1 on all cash, purchases of tires, tabes, and rubber goods. Milking machine rubber tubing and connections are stocked for the convenience of dairy farmers. Hofcwater bottles are stocked and repaired. Fetch yours along. Mr. Palmer has arranged to carry a stock of general rubber goods, such as rubber bandages, syringes, and surgical rubber goods of all descriptions, as well as a splendid line of genuine rubber hot water bags. The latter are the best we have seen, and are being retailed at from 8s to 10s each.
