The above firm have, as usual, a good display of this popular make of machine. They are showing the latest model Powerplus solo machines, and also a very fine range of sidecar turnouts, and now that the factory in America has been released to a certain extent from war work, supplies of "Indians" are rapidly approaching normal. The company are pleased to advise that they have good stocks on hand and a large shipment on the water and so can take cars of all Indian business. Indians during the war period more than maintained .their great name for satisfactory service. The United States War Office, when placing their orders for motor-cycles recognised the great value of the Indian in this respect, and of the many thousands of motor-cycles used by the American Forces, 60 per cent, of the total number of machines were Indians. The balance was divided amongst every other make of American machine. This was a v a ery great honour for the Indian, -and one that it has deservedly earned by years of reliable and consistent service. In addition to this enviable record for general service the Indian has been responsible for some remarkable speed and endurance performances, and to-day the Indian motor-cycle holds every world's record from one mile to one thousand miles, and from one minute to twentyfour hours. Never before in the history' of motor-cycling has any one machine made such a clean sweep of - all titles in the motor racing world. See them at the present national Dairy Show at Palmerston. North.
