WOMAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
ON SERIOUS CHARGES. (B7 TEU3OUAPII.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NELSON, 18th March. At the Magistrate's Court Emma Caroline Fletcher, a married woman, 38 years of age, appeared on remand before Mr. Evans, S.M., charged that on or about 27th February, 1919, she did unlawfully use an instrument on Friede Ruby Sandel, with intent to procure a miscarriage. A further charge against accused was that on 4tk March she murdered Friede Ruby Sandel. Accused reserved her defence and was committed for trial. The question of bail was allowed to stand over.
