A GREAT STEP FORWARD

DRAFTING A HEAVY TASK

DIFFERENCES OF OPINION BEING

ADJUSTED.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIGHT.)

(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) PARIS, 13th February.

It is understood that the new armistice terms, which are being drafted by the military experts, are a great step forward, and will clear the ground for a general stable peace, but as the drafting is a heavy task the document will not be ready before the ond of next week, therefore the present armistice will be renewed .on Monday without a definite period. The American peace delegates do not oppose the reduction of the German 4r«iy, but think that a definite figure should be set. There is a growing belief that certain differences of opinion, between the Allies will be satisfactorily settled, laying the foundation for lifting the German blockade and i restoring the world to normal conditions.
