NEW YORK, 12th February. In an interview, Mr., John Jones, of the British Steel Smelters' Union, said the two main objectives underlying -the present British industrial unrest are the absorption of the unemployed through the reduction,of working hours and the raising of ■ the purchasing power of the, masses. Many British workers, he said, have lost in.'politicians, and demand direct action. There is, also., a -powerful-syndicalist movement: --• y!
