The Foxton Racing Club's annual fixture resulted in a net "profit of £630 2s lid. The receipt* from all sources totalled £3801. Among the expenditure was £1685 for stakes, totalisator tax £648, Government duty £1571, stakes and amusement tax £29. The second day's programme coneiste of 8 events, with a total prize money of £1065, or a total of £2365, quite a respectable sum. The second day events are the Hack Scurry, £90, 6 furlongs; Glengarry Handicap (open), £150, 6 furlongs; Mangatua Hack Handicap, £120, 5 furlongs, for two-year-olds; Autumn Handicap (open), £300, 1 mile and a furlong; Telephone Handicap, £110, 6 furlongs; Kaitoki Welter (open), £160, 7 furlongs; Tapuata Hack Welter, £125, 1 mile and 50 yards. Nominations for all events will close on Wednesday, 12th February, at 8 o'clock p.m., with Mr. Walter Dobson, secretary, P.O. box 69, Dannevirke.
