APPEAL TO SIR JAMES ALLEN.

SYDNEY, 22nd December. Mr. W. R. Blow (New Zealand Government Agent in Sydney) has despatched* further ca.ble to the Acting Prime Minister of New Zealand urging an immediate effort to influence the Union Company to despatch the Moeraki in the interests of women and children whose funds are exhausted. Several passengers have bffered to subscribe towards the difference in pay -which is causing the delay.
