Kead will give a lantern lecture on "Two Years' Experience on a Hospital Ship." An address, which, is sure to be full of interest, is to be delivered by Mr. Amelius Smith at a meeting of tho Early Ssttlers' Association on Wednesday night next in Godber's rooms. Mr. Smith will relate his reminiscences, political and otherwise. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. report that they held a very successful sale of paintings by J. D. Serrett and others at their rooms, 195, Lambton-quay, yesterday, when all the works of art were disposed of at satisfactory prices. • ]
