Admiralty, per Wireless Press.—A German ; official report states: The enemy renewed his attacks with great violence east of Villers Bretonneux, A great united enemy counter-attack against our whole front south of the Marne broke down, with the heaviest losses. Our counter-attack' threw the enemy out of small places south-east of Mareuil, into which he had temporarily penetrated. We stormed a ridge south of Pourcy, capturing the defenders and several guns. ' ' ' .. . The evening official message states: Between the Aisne and the Marne the French attacked with strong forces and tanks, capturing some ground. Our reserves took part in the. battle.
