MUFTI ALLOWANCE

A DELAY EXPLAINED,

Returned soldiers who read that the order for the new mufti allowance (a clothing order to the value of £5 ss) was to take effect as from Ist June have been puzzled by the continuance of the old 30s arrangement.

Tlie explanation is that the preparations for the new system are not quite, complete. Men who have come under the 30s scheme since Ist June will have the benefit of the difference between 30s and £5 ss.
