HORVAT AND THE CZECHOSLOVAKS

LONDON, 16th July. A Pekin message states that, as a result of a friendly conference, M. Horvat has agreed to facilitate the advance of the Czecho-Slovaks to the Balkans, via the Chinese Eastern railway, with a view to their ultimate co-operation with their compatriots. It is expected that the Austrian war prisoners in Servia will join the Czechs, and will largely increase the main fighting force. The Times says that a trustworthy estimate places the Czecho-Slovak strength at 80,000 in Siberia and 30,000 in European Russia. They intend to reach the French front via "Vladivostok.
