VICTORIA COLLEGE COUNCIL

At a meeting of the Victoria College Council last night there were present Mr. C. Watson (chairman), Sir Robert Stout, Professors Hunter and Sommerville, Messrs. E. M'Callum, M.P., F. H. Bakewell, A.'lt. Atkinson, P. Lovi, F. W. 0. Smith, R A. Wright, M.P. The Hon. J. G. W. Aitken, M.L.C., and Mr. 0. B. Morison, K.C., were granted leave of absence.

In accordance with Professor Garrow's recommendation, Miss M'Kay was granted leave of absence on account of ill-health. It was decided that it be left in the hands of the chairman to provide assistance for Professor Garrow if it is found necessary to do so. ' Id was decided that the Athol Hudson Fund for Scientific Researoh be vested in the chairman and Professor Eastern 1 eld as trustees, and be placed in a separate account in the Post Office Savings Bank. Accounts for the- month amounting to £1084 11s lid were passed for payment.
