FIRE AT TAIHAPE

Last evening a. fire, the origin of which cannot bo accounted for, practically, gutted an unoccupied two-story twelveroomed house known as the Arcadia Hotel. The fife brigade saved tlio building from . complete destruction. The damage is estimated at 3250. The owner was Mr. C. Mardon, of Auckland. The insurances are unobtainable, nbfc having been effected at Taihape.
