LATE SHIPPING
ARRIVALS. July 16—Calm, s.s. (12.45 p.m.), 891 tons, Radford, from Lyttelton July 16—Hinemoa, s.s. (3 p.m.), 542 tons, Bollons, from Cook Strait DEPARTURES. July 16—Blenheim, s.s. (12.35 p.m.), 12,0 tons, Wilkinson, lor Wanganui
The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived in port about 3 o'clock this afternoon. from Cook Strait. The vessel has evidently finished her round of the lighthouses earlier than was expected. She will now prepare for her trip to the southern lighthouses Rain is holding the Wakatu up at Lyttelton, and the vessel will not be at Wellington until to-morrow After a few weeks of inactivity the Monowai has once again resumed her running on the East Coast. She left Dunedin last evening for Lyttelton and Wellington. On Thursday, according to present arrangements, tho vessel will leave this port for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Monowai will not receive any Auckland cargo . The Moeraki is to leave Wellington this evening for Lyttelton to discharge cargo consigned to that port and Dunedin. The vessel will be back at Wellington on Thursday, on which day, at 5 p.m., she will leave for Sydney and Hobart With a full load of cargo on board the Mapourika will leave Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night for Auckland direct The Cqrinna is to leave New Plymouth to-day for Wellington, where she is due to-morrow. The Union Company states that the vessel will be despatched to-morrow for Lyttelton and New Plymouth, taking cargo for the latter port only , . ■ ' ■ ! The scow Hazel Kepton left Dunedin on Sat. urday for Melbourne under full sail (reports the Otago Daily Times), but she put back again on Sunday owing to there being something slightly amiss with her spars ' The Queen of the South was expected to get out of Foxton at 1 o'clock this afternoon, but as the bar at that port is reported to-day to be in a bad state, it is improbable that the vessel will succeed. If she manages to work the bar she will be at Wellington to-morrow
