Later in the day the appellant said the reply of the board had come to hand. The Financial Assistance Board desired a personal interview. He had been informed so by the Efficiency Board. The head shepherd at Beaumont Station was a C 2 man. Mr- Considine remarked that as the employers did not apply to take Golightj \ ly out of camp, he (Mr, Considine). would not be one to support an application to grve him leave. There were many , harder cases than this which had come i before the board. Appellant was now a [ partially-trained man. The board reserved its decision. I William 11/. Stewart, railway porter, asked for leave till September to enable him to arrange certain .private affairs. !
